Accurate GI Microbiome test results start with a properly collected specimen. Here is a quick guide to walk you through the entire process, we used children's play clay to this video.
Important Notes:
1.) Do not contaminate stool with urine
2.) Collect stool specimens from various parts of the stool including any blood, pus, or different colored areas.
3.) DO NOT overfill your specimen tubes. More is not better, it can actually lead to an excess of gas and exploding stool samples. Our entire lab team thanks you for avoiding this!
4.) LABEL YOUR TUBES!!!! All tubes must have patient name, and date of birth noted on them. If tubes are not labeled, the lab is not able to run the sample.
