In this video you will learn how to reduce a colored mesh in MeshLab to a point cloud and export it as a .ply. One of the many formats used for point clouds. We will then import the exported file into Cloud Compare for review. Note that there is a direct way to convert a mesh with color or texture in Cloud Compare.
