EMPLOYEE DISCLOSURE & DISCLAIMER: I am a paid employee of Rehlko (formerly Kohler Engines). The repair techniques, tool selections, and procedures shown in this video reflect my personal 28 years of repair experience and are not officially reviewed, authorized, or endorsed by Rehlko engineering. Use at your own risk.
ABOUT THIS VIDEO: Kohler Engines is now Rehlko. Reinstalling a pumped up lifter can bend the pushrod, or worse...like knocking the keepers off the valve. Please don't.
In this video, I show the procedure I use for bleeding the KOHLER Command Pro hydraulic lifters. This lifter needs to be bled upside down with substantial force applied over time.
These lifters do not need to be pumped up prior to install; that will cause the previously mentioned problems and damage.
Lastly, if your lifters are noisy, change the oil, not the lifters. https://youtu.be/E4yvEJpNORo
