After managing to escape to safety at the expense of his daughter during a raid on his home, John Matrix (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) decides not to take the law into his own hands, and instead leaves matters to General Kirby. Unfortunately though, taunting his daughter's kidnappers over the phone turns out to be a bad move.
