An introduction and discussion of "common knowledge", a concept so much taken for granted, that we accept it as real without even blinking. Yet, as soon as do think about it, we hit obstacles.
What is Common Knowledge and can it ever be reached? What we are asking, in fact, is whether common knowledge is a viable philosophical notion, an objective summary of generally accepted knowledge.
And here is the rub. What is generally accepted knowledge? In fact, what is knowledge? Are we what we know? Does what we know shape who we are? Or do we shape what we can know?
