Compassion

There are great examples of compassion everywhere, but God gave us the ultimate example when He sent his Son Jesus! Join Douglas in this Christian video where he'll be teaching kids about compassion. Douglas' mom is a really good baker, and at Douglas' school they always have a bake sale with a prize for best baker. His mom has never won the prize, but Douglas knows that she really wants to. On their way to the bake sale, Douglas' mom saw someone on the side of the road who needed help changing her tire. And even though she knew that she would get dirty changing that tire, and that she would be late for the bake sale (meaning there was no way she could win), she still took the time and energy to help someone in need. This is a great example of compassion but God has given us an even better example to follow in John 3:26: "For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life." God saw our need and he did something about it. How can you show compassion to those around you?
