Controle Mesure Systemes (CMS) is a leader in Non Destructive Testing (NDT) with a complete range of products for Eddy Current and Ultrasonic inspections since more than 30 years. Its range of products comprises high performance instruments, ultrasonic rotating heads (RotoUTscan) and eddy current rotating heads (RotoETscan), ET probes and coils, UT transducers, as well as EC and UT accessories. CMS provides Non Destructive Testing solutions and complete turnkey systems including the associated mechanics and its carrying out complete design, planning, manufacture, installation and commissioning of such systems. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Controle Mesure Systemes recently received a complete control line of 70m long. It consists of a control bench combining 7 means of inspection by Eddy Current and Ultrasonic and all the conveying mechanics upstream and downstream of the bench. This control station can operate directly in "offline" mode because it has its own loading trough but it can also operate directly in "line" with the straightening output. This bench is designed to control seamless steel tubes with diameters from 25 to 90mm, thicknesses from 3 to 13mm and lengths up to 24m. On this installation, the complementarity of the ET and UT methods makes it possible to ensure a 100% inspection of the tubes while ensuring control speeds up to 60m / min. This installation includes the following controls: automatic control by spark spectrometer. At the center of the installation, the control bench is equipped with 7 centering devices with 3 motorized rollers, 3 motorized offline tables and the following control means: - Anti-mixing shade system by Eddy Currents - Optical gauge for measuring the outside diameter - Eddy current HF control with rotating head: RotoETscan 130, 4 channels for detection of longitudinal defects - Eddy current LF control with magnetization unit and encircling coil control for detection of short defects - Ultrasonic control with rotating head: RotoUTscan 90, 24 channels for detection of internal / external defects and dimensional measurement - Low frequency DC + AC demagnetization unit - 3 marking units: 2 for marking defaults and one for marking customer code The various control bodies and all of the mechanics are connected to our line supervisor named Probus. This software, developed by CMS, makes it possible to collect information from different NDT systems, but also to centralize and manage all the sensors and actuators on the line. It also has the capacity to communicate with the factory network (MES) in order to exchange data in real time on the tube being inspected or the batches to come.
