I wanted to create my first "members only" video to establish some timelines and document how I've evolved from who I was to who I am today. Hopefully, this helps. The main takeaways/lessons I've learned are: 1. Don't try to do everything all at once. Aim for a more natural progression where you flow seamlessly from one thing to the next. Only advance once you've mastered what you're working on, and the experience of mastering it opens a new lane and leads you to your next challenge. 2. Share. I never had better fitness and stronger sobriety than since I started sharing about it. As I alluded to in the video, I got sober for the first time when I was 21. Since I'm 31 today and only have 5 years of sobriety, that means I went in and out of sobriety for those first 5 years. The thing that helped me stick with both sobriety and fitness was giving up on trying to do it alone: talking about it, sharing, finding others on the same journey, realizing you're not alone, working together, and helping others in order to help yourself.
