College Trigonometry Chapter 10, Topic 1—Complex Numbers in Polar Form
Complex numbers are two-dimensional, which means that we can only represent them on a plane, not a line. This gives them a geometry, and using angles and distances to represent complex numbers allows us to make easier computations in many cases when it comes to complex numbers by first converting them to a polar form, very similar to polar coordinates.
