Composting outhouse build.

In this video, I am building a composting outhouse for my Off grid cabin in the upper Peninsula of Michigan. In the spring, the area, my cabin is in can sometimes have a very high water level during spring runoff and can fill your outhouse hole with water. I’ve decided to build a raised outhouse And use a 20 gallon heavy duty garbage can as the receptacle that will be installed through a back door on the outhouse, it will have a urine diverter system so all that enters the garbage can is waste and the sawdust and or leaves that we put in it when it’s used. When it’s time to empty it, we will put it in a compost pile that will be used later when it breaks down to help build soil in the sandy soil that is there for grass and native trees. this will be insulated.
