In this video, we discuss the concept of compounding morphology. We distinguish this component of morphology from inflection and derivation, as well as provide examples of compound structures and what they mean. Also discussed in this video is the concept of transparency, and how that relates to two types of compounds: endocentric and exocentric. We then touch on morphological families and semantic relationships between compounds.
