Conception

Been working through options on this tune a lot recently. More importantly, I've been noticing recently that I tend to shift setups (string gauge, action, etc.) when I have a different sound in mind, rather than when I need a different feel under my fingers. I've been playing my blue guitar a lot recently (made by Alexander Polyakov) with a really light setup (7-36 or 8-38 with medium-low action) which facilitates a more legato approach- even when I'm picking a lot I think it's easier to get less separation between the notes on that setup. Here I'm using this L5 style (also made by Alexander Polyakov) with 16-56 flats and medium-high action, which pushes me toward more of a staccato/percussive thing that I'm really interested in right now.
