A layer 3 Etherchannel may be one of the most complex features mentioned in the CCNA blueprint. Understanding it requires knowledge of layer 2 switching (the default behavior), what happens when you override it on a layer 3 switch using the concept of routed ports, and core EtherChannel concepts and configuration. It’s a lot. This lab gives you a chance to pull the configuration concepts together. In this ad hoc lab – that is, a lab, contained within this one video – you will practice by configuring three Layer 3 EtherChannels.
