A peek into the little-known world of tropic apple culture on a 1,000-tree shamba in Democratic Republic of Congo. Hosted by John Baptist Lwanga, Director of Kuffel Creek Apple Nursery, Uganda, who gets to practice his Swahili on this trip. John Baptist and his team planted it in 2016 and added 200 more trees this spring; the first trees are just starting to bear apples. It has all the makings of a hugely productive apple orchard.
