Connors RSI Indicator: Tutorial
In this video, we explore Connors RSI, a momentum indicator created by Larry Connors that improves on the traditional Relative Strength Index (RSI). Connors RSI combines three parts: a short-term RSI, the length of winning or losing streaks, and the size of recent price changes. The calculation of Connors RSI involves averaging these three components to create a single score between 0 and 100. 1. First, a 3-period RSI measures short-term momentum. 2. Second, the streak length tracks how many days in a row the price has gone up or down. 3. Third, a percentile rank of the latest price change compares it to past changes over a set period. This combined score provides a clearer signal for potential market reversals.
