Container Ship Dali Versus Baltimore Bridge

About 40 minutes after departing Seagirt Marine Terminal, the container vessel Dali smashed through Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, USA. The bridge collapsed while the ship was aground on one of its support columns. A rescue operation is underway, as construction workers from within the bridge were caught in the accident. Dali departed from her port with two tugboats at around 00:45 on the 26th of March, 2024. Less than 20 minutes after the second tugboat cast off, the vessel suffered a series of blackouts that led to loss of steering and eventually alliding with the bridge's one of its central support columns.
