In this video I explain how my Passive PoE solution works for powering my controllers full time, whilst allowing the pixel power to be switched off.
I go through a bit of the history and alternative ways of doing it, and then through the technicality of how it works. There are some images of my actual installation, and some other uses for the PoE, such as inline switches.
