Here's my second track on the M8. I sampled a few chords and notes from my Telecaster into the great Thermae pitch shifting delay to get that gritty sound. I then sampled two patches I made with the Novation Peak (the arp and, later, the stereo pumping sound). The rest is the M8, using FM (for the kick, some percs, the huge bass, the "wind"), Macrosynth (some percs and voicings), and wavsynth (the triangle leads). I used a table to automate the volume change in the later bass. Tables are insane. Lots of little tricks here and there with FX, I think I'll do a video about the process if you are interested. I also think this deserves a bit more work in order to release it properly! I'll see... -- The background bubbles were shot in Marseille's port as a nice dude was blowing them for everyone to enjoy. -- I added a bit of multiband compression and slight EQ on the master in Reaper. Still have some progress to make on that greenscreen thing, but I'll get there! Also maybe next time, cleaning the M8's screen before shooting.
