Activating and strengthening core is something your hear a lot about and for good reason. These muscles are the primary stabilisers of our spine; normally our core is activated all the time, in the background, as we do our daily activities and go about our business. Unfortunately, they tend to switch off when there is pain. Once that pain resolves, it's time to start retraining those muscles to switch back on again.
