Cornbread is a great dish for Dutch oven cooking. Not only is it delicious, but it's also a great thing to bake as a Scout is mastering the skills of Dutch oven cooking. The video also provides ways to bake smaller quantities in larger pots. A wire rack or three equally balled up pieces foil can be perfect for creating an air space between the underneath of a pan and the bottom of the Dutch oven. Add some diced fresh hot peppers and a drained can of corn to boxed cornbread mix to wow your fellow Scouts.
