Cottage Core Sweater Vest Process!
In this Cottage Core, hand knit sweater vest video, I will go through my process of developing a hand knit garment. This yarn was also hand spun, but similar yarns are available on the market. From the process of roughing out the design, to a tubular/invisible cast on edge for 1x1 rib, You can follow my process as I create my Fall 2023 Cottage Core Wardrobe fantasy. The Vest itself is wool, hand knit at a somewhat dense gauge and finished with a combination of modern and traditional details. Originally, I wanted to have pockets, but I ran out of yarn and had no interest in trying to spin more. I had JUST enough to complete the vest and barely 2 meters of yarn leftover! This vest is designed as a menswear cottage core fashion garment, but one could easily take the process and follow it pretty closely for a female presenting style. If you are interested in this change, I might reduce the length slightly and make the body's taper a little more extreme for a nice, vintage fit. Full disclosure, my voice sounds strange and I didn't catch every step as this was shot during my recovery from a much needed surgical procedure.
