Create a blog post category drop down filter without extra plugins in Elementor.
I wanted to create a simple filter for my blog posts inside the Designer Wisdom website, but didn't want to pay for an extra plugin. Instead, I worked with ChatGPT to help me find a better way. As a result, I was able to use the brand new Elementor feature on Taxonomy Filters and with some good Ol' JS I was able to create a simple drop down menu in less than 10min and saved on $40+ for another plugin. In this video you will see how I set up the HTML, CSS and JS to do this, and ALL YOU NEED TO DO is drop the code that I created for you here. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1f36VonCBQYKSfvsrOU67rICBxDd5ibI36JBA9jLnFQI/edit?usp=sharing 🏆 Updated the script to include what you need to have if you also would like to filter by newest/oldest posts inside the loop. 🏆 I will be dropping a Short soon, showing you a bit of the behind the scenes of the ChatGPT prompts I used for this and a full video later on.
