Create Chevron Patterns in Illustrator - How to Create Seamless Tiling Repeating Patterns Learn to create chevron patterns in Illustrator CS6 & CC and Illustrator 2014.You will see how to create two different chevron pattern swatches in Illustrator - one using a single color and the second being a multicolor swatch. You will see how to work creatively with simple geometric shapes to create the initial tile for the pattern. See how to color and duplicate the chevron shape and how to create a two color repeating pattern from this tile. This technique uses the new Pattern make tool which is an easy pattern generator in Illustrator CS6 & CC and Illustrator CC 2014. You will also see how to fill a shape with the pattern that you have created and how to scale the pattern inside the shape. These patterns are seamless repeating tiling patterns that you can use for fabric design (think spoonflower) or for web backgrounds as well as backgrounds and fills for your own projects.
