Adobe Illustrator CC - Create Clipping Masks Using the Pen Tool Did you know that the Pen Tool can be used for more than creating unique shapes and paths in Adobe Illustrator? In this tutorial, I show you how to use the pen tool to create clipping mask to show only a portion of an image. It's basically cropping taken to whole new level. Creating Clipping Masks is an essential skill in the Graphic Designer's toolset. Pick up any household product or food item. More than likely you'll see an pic of an object that has been cut (clipped) out of its original image.
