This is what Photoshop will duplicate mutiple times to create a pattern (in this video we use brush symmetry to create a quick mock-up!). Next create a selection of the tile using the Marquee Tool (M). Then either go to "Edit" and then "Define Pattern", or find the Patterns panel and create a new pattern from there. Name your pattern and then, once it's been created, drag the pattern from the Patterns panel onto your canvas. This will create a new Pattern Fill layer. Finally, from here you can bring up options to scale, rotate and move your pattern with the Pattern Fill Options by double clicking on the layer thumbnail! WHO AM I?
