Created a Cracked Tile Look Using Air Dry Clay: Tutorial
My Gallery Wall is well underway and I can't wait to show you my latest piece! My goal was to have a collection of 12 but I am having so much fun making them that I've decided to just keep going. I hope you enjoy watching the process because I know I love making them! There is just something magical about the look of old, aged tiles. Perhaps it's fond memories of days gone by or the glimpse into the lives of our grandparents...regardless of the reason, the magic is real. I am thrilled to share with you how I created the look of cracks and aging in this step by step tutorial. Originally recorded Live on the Sweet and Sassy Treasures Facebook page, learn how to use texture, paint, stamps, ink and moulds to create your very own works of art. What does this tile make you think of? I'd love to hear in the comments. I used IOD Air Dry Clay, the IOD Trimmings 2 Mould, and the IOD Rose Toile Stamp to create the look. The IOD Brayer and an old plastic gift card were the stars of the show, enabling me to create that old world cracked look. I also used Paint Couture Black Chiffon Glaze.
