There are numerous ways to create content for OpenBuildings Designer, including the latest addition of parametric cells from MicroStation. This is a great option when you need to create an object that comes in a variety of sizes. Using variables and constraints you can create a 3D object that can be placed using the Object tool and modified with various dimensional inputs. In addition, 2D graphics can be added for the plan view and a perforator to cut openings.
In this video Mary Chib will show how to complete the cell by defining the 2D and 3D portions of the cell to Named Presentations. In addition, she will show how to designate the perforator and add additional placement points. Stay tuned and continue watching the playlist for more steps in the parametric cell creation process.
