Creating Graphs Part 3 - Using Python to write the CSV file.
Veusz is Open Source Free software used for scientific plotting and graphing. Python is also Open Source Free software and I have been using both extensively to create graphs on my website. This is not a tutorial on either program but just how I use them. It was tough to decide what to put in the video and what to leave out. Even so, the video became longer than what I hoped for. I did forget to mention the terms "record" and "field" in database terms. In a CSV file a record is a row of data, and the fields are the columns. Usually in graphing a record is associated with the independent variable and the fields contain the dependent variables. Veusz is a graphical user interface program (point and click) and is available for Windows and Mac as well as Linux. The Veusz web site is: http://home.gna.org/veusz/ The Python web site is located at: http://www.python.org/ I do not know all of the ins and outs, but there seems to be a fork developing between version 2.XX.... and 3.XX. I am still using version 2. Also please check out my website http://create-and-make.com/Welcome.
