Digital Scholarship Series
This workshop will introduce participants to the basics of using the free software Tableau Public to create interactive data visualization dashboards - also known as infographics. We will walk through the process of importing a spreadsheet into Tableau, creating simple charts or maps, and assembling those data visualizations with graphical and text elements to create a visual story. We will also discuss strategies for creating successful infographics by thinking about how to combine data, color, and text into a structured narrative.
No prior experience with Tableau is necessary to participate in this workshop.
