Creating Ship Hull Surface using Excel and Rhino Software

The Hull of the Ship: The hull of a ship refers to the main body or structure of the vessel that provides buoyancy and supports the entire weight of the ship. It is the outer shell that encloses the internal spaces and components of the ship. Hull Surface Creation: • Import the offset points from the Excel spreadsheet into Rhino, ensuring accurate alignment with the ship's hull design. • Use Rhino's curve drawing tools to create curves through the imported offset points. Tools like Curve -- Control Point Curve or Curve -- Interpolate Point Curve can help accurately connect the points and define the shape of the hull. • Once the curves are refined and fair, generate the hull surface using the Network Surface command. Select all the curves that define the hull, then go to Surface -- Network Surface.
