Creative Double Masked Card
Instructions to make a beautiful double masked card with easy, clear instructions to help you sponge properly. Stamp Sets: Special Moments (words); Cardstock: • White – 5 ½” x 4 ¼” scored 4 ¼”; 3 5/8” x 4 7/8”; • Fresh Freesia – 5” x 3 ¾”; • Gorgeous Grape – 5 ¼” x 4” Inks: Memento Black, Gorgeous Grape, (original Card – Calypso Coral); Accessories: Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks; Blending Brush; Classic Matte Dots; scrap paper. Instructions: 1. Use scrap paper to block off the areas of the BF mask that you aren’t using. Tape them in place. 2. Stamp the words before you do the masking. 3. Place the “Open” Butterfly on the white cardstock where you want to sponge it and secure the mask to your workspace so it doesn’t move. Lightly sponge the BF using the coloured ink. 4. When you’re happy with the first sponging place the patterned mask on top of the BF mask and sponge again, using the same colour but sponging with a little more pressure. Remember to tap off every time you pick up more ink on your brush. 5. Carefully lift a corner of the mask to see how it’s looking and stop sponging when you think it’s good. 6. Repeat both sponging steps again if you want a second BF, securing the mask in place for this BF. 7. Adhere the layers together as shown and add 3 matte dots.
