Criminal profiling is a technique used by law enforcement to identify potential suspects in criminal investigations by analyzing crime scene evidence to infer characteristics about the offender's personality, behavior, and potential motives. India’s legal and investigative systems have traditionally relied heavily on physical evidence, witness testimony and confessions to solve crimes. However, with the increasing complexity of criminal activities and the emergence of sophisticated criminals, the need for advanced methods such as criminal profiling has become evident.
