This talk discusses the Atos Quantum Learning Machine (QLM). After a short introduction to quantum computing, Crispin Keable focuses on how you can learn about programming a quantum computer using the QLM. The intent behind the QLM is both to support researchers who are developing hardware, and also to assist developers who are interested in quantum computing algorithms as hybrid or standalone applications.
Dr Crispin Keable has a 30 year history in HPC computing. Starting with application optimisation on bespoke, hand built vector systems in the 80s he has followed the developments of the market as it moved to Unix, then to Commodity clusters designing and building some of the UK’s largest HPC systems.
