The video was created by sixth semester students in the BioMed Laboratory of the Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences program. The students Cornelia Gansert, Annelie Schäfer, Luigi Nardella and Lowis Kemm participated in this video and were supervised by Prof. Dr. Kemkemer and Dipl. Ing. FH Athanasopulu. It contains the following content: CRISPR-Cas9 is also known as gene scissors. It is a technique that cuts DNA at a specific point to silence gene expression or add another desired sequence. The process of CRISPR-Cas is explained in this video. This method can be used in molecular biology, plant science, parasite control, human therapy, and more.
