Crop Images in Drupal using Focal Point Module

It will also install the required Crop API module. 2. Change the Widget: Go to Structure - Content Types and choose the content type you want to modify (e.g., Article). 3. Manage Form Display: Under "Manage form display," find the image field and change its widget type from "Image" to "Focal Point." 4. Adjust the Preview: Click the cogwheel next to the image field and select a larger preview image style for better visibility while editing. 5. Create an Image Style: Navigate to Configuration - Image Styles and click "Add image style." Give your style a name (e.g., "Wide Focal") and select the effect "Focal point scale and crop.", or any that start with "Focal point" 6. Set the Dimensions: Enter the cropped image's desired width and height and save the style. 7. Update Content Display: Back in your content type's "Manage display" settings, change the format of your image field to use your newly created image style (e.g., "Wide Focal"). 8. Set Your Focal Point: When you add or edit content, a handle will appear on your image. Drag this handle to specify the area you want Drupal to focus on during cropping. And that's it!
