After recently finding out about the CrossFit Murph Workout I had to give it a go and as its a traditional Memorial Day challenge I did it on May 25th - The American Memorial Day!
The workout consists of a 1 mile run (1.6km) 300 Squats, 200 Push ups and 100 pull ups and then another 1 mile run to finish all while wearing a 20Ib vest!
The workout is in honer and remembrance of LT. Michael P. Murphy, a US Navy Seal officer who lost his life in Afghanistan, June 28th, 2005 - RIP
As this workout comes from CrossFit, most people will do it with kipping pull-ups which I have never done so I did strict, dead hang pull ups!
My Sets:
Squats - 12 x 25
Push Ups - 10 x 15 and 5 x 10
Pull Ups was a mixture of 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 rep to get the full 100!
Wearing a 21Ib (annoying) back pack.
