The Chatham County Sheriff's Office and The Chatham County Police Department participated in joint training exercises to be better prepared to protect the public during large gatherings. The Georgia Department of Corrections and GEMA conducted a full day of training to help ensure that the officers were knowledgeable in the most effective methods of crowd control.
