ctrlX Drive - Serial Setup Tool in ctrlX DRIVE Engineering

This video demonstrates how to use the optional “ctrlX DRIVE Serial Setup” tool available in the ctrlX Drive Engineering software. The Serial Setup tool speed up the commissioning time of repeat (serial) machines, as well as machines with many digital drives such as ctrlX Drive that are networked with Ethernet fieldbus. It allows the setup, saving and re-use of project/machine configurations with multiple drives. Each setup can include firmware, parameter file for drive functions as well as safety parameters. After selecting a specific setup, the user can execute the activation, and the tool automatically updates the drives via the fieldbus Ethernet connections, providing status information during the process and issuing a final protocol report.
