MATERIAL: Six Stranded Embroidery Floss (DMC BRAND) SEMI-ORIGINAL PATTERN: This is a bracelet that I made up by carefully tweaking a pattern that was already posted. You can find the original (icecream cone) pattern I based my pattern off of at Friendship-Bracelets.net (it is pattern #4505) I didn't think the icecream cone made a good cupcake so I edited the pattern and adjusted some knots to flatten out the bottom and make it look more like a cupcake and less like an icecream cone. Hope you guys like it! NOTE: This is the first time(s) I've ever made this bracelet. I wasn't too happy with the dark brown background but I also wasn't too happy with the light pink background. Sorry if you didn't like how it came out- I don't like it much (because of the color choices) but a pattern is a pattern, right? They can be improved on! ____________________________________________ CUPCAKE PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS BELOW! ____________________________________________ ☼ The colors listed below are for the first [Pink Background] Version of the bracelet! There are 12 Strings total and you will be using 4 different colors. 1 = Pink (Background Color) 2 = Red (Color Of The Cherry) 3 = White (Frosting Color) 4 = Brown (Cupcake Base Color) [Note: You may substitute with your own colors to customize your bracelet!] You will need to cut 3 Pink, 1 White and 1 Brown 65" (inches) long Fold the 65" strands in half and cut yourself two more strings half their length: 1 Red (about 33" inches) 1 Extra Pink (about 33" inches) Tie all of your strands together (including the two short strands) by making an overhand knot. You should now have a small loop and a total of 7 Pink, 1 red, 2 white and 2 brown strings. Set Up Your Strings As Follows: 1 2 1 3 1 3 (middle point) 1 4 1 4 1 1 Though I labeled the middle point there will be no middle for this bracelet since it is in a 1 2 1 2 pattern style. I only marked it as the (middle point) to help you guys organize your strands- you may also want to make a loom. ____________________________________________________ You will be using MIXED KNOTS (FK/BK and BK/FK) ONLY to make this bracelet. ** Remember: For this bracelet you will be working with your strings as pairs.** ____________________________________________________ IMPORTANT: For each EVEN row (2, 4, 6, 8 etc) you will be leaving out the FIRST and LAST strings. [Tip: I will mark the rows that need the first and last string left out with an " ☼"] CUPCAKE PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS ROW 1: Make FK/BK's across all of your strands ☼ ROW 2: Make BK/FK's across all the strands ROW 3: Make 2 FK/BK's, Three BK/FK's and one more FK/BK ☼ ROW 4: Make 1 BK/FK then 4 FK/BK's ROW 5: Make 1 FK/BK, 4 BK/FK's and one FK/BK ☼ ROW 6: Make FK/BK's across all of your strands ROW 7: Make 1 FK/BK, 4 BK/FK's and one FK/BK ☼ ROW 8: Make 1 BK/FK and 4 FK/BK's ROW 9: 2 FK/BK, 3 BK/FK's and one FK/BK ☼ ROW 10: Make BK/FK's across all the strands ROW 11: Make 5 FK/BK's and one BK/FK ☼ ROW 12: Make BK/FK's across all of your strands ROW 13: Make FK/BK's across all of your strands ☼ ROW 14: BK/FK across all the strands ROW 15: FK/BK across all the strands ☼ ROW 16: BK/FK across all the strands (Begin at ROW 1 again and continue to repeat for pattern.) ____________________________________________ Comment, Rate & Subscribe! ____________________________________________ beyondbracelets.net beyondbracelets.net
