This one has been in “the works” for nearly a year now. I worked on it off and on between projects and it collected dust A LOT during this past blessed year. It’s built for ME as a prototype because the wood is too unique to duplicate easily and I don’t have enough to offer it as a “production” option.
It’s a highly figured piece of curly Cherry with some curly Maple accents. The wood hinge and wood latch are made from the same block of wood. Also matched the grain around all four corners, though it’s hard to tell due to the “busy” nature of the grain pattern.
I just LOVE the DEEP wave pattern this has in it…the pictures only HINT at the depth this wood shows. Wonder what I’ll do with what I have left…
