Why not treat yourself with a satisfying wood project this weekend? While most of our router templates are designed to create items you can gift or sell, these mallet templates are just for you. Use these templates to create functional wood mallets / hammers.
To create a mallet, use the template to cut a complete reproduction of the shape (head and handle). Then use the smaller part of the template to create two additional upper pieces of the head only (no shaft/handle). Laminate/glue the head pieces on each side of the complete reproduction of the template, so you end up with a triple thickness mallet head, and single thickness shaft/handle. Sand, shape and oil to your liking!
