The application is distributed to the production environment e.g. in containers, but who is checking the third party library for vulnerabilities or misused codes? Moving or implementing security procedures to an earlier stage during development, hence “shift-left” in the DevOps process. This ensures that the 3rd party libraries will be checked for vulnerabilities and the developer team can be notified if there is any vulnerabilities.
