In this course, students will investigate foundational cybersecurity concepts and network models to build an accurate mental map of threats, assets, and controls across the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) stack. They will evaluate security controls, policies, and risk trade‑offs to justify secure designs and prioritized mitigations for small office/home office (SOHO) and enterprise‑lite environments. Furthermore, students will implement baseline protections, secure configurations, and incident response workflows using industry tools through guided labs and scenario‑based practice aligned with entry‑level workforce roles.
