In this video I discuss designing the frame and building a frame jig or frame table to keep the frame straight and true while welding.
Edit. The front cross member should be back at least 13" from the front of the frame, 14" is even better. My drawing shows 12", at that measurement, the axle will hit the drop floor when the springs compress. I discovered this later and had to cut the frame and move it back.
