Daasebre Gyamenah (1968–2016) was a legendary Ghanaian highlife musician renowned for his silky voice and poetic songwriting. Often affectionately called "Ahoofe" (the "handsome one") by his fans, he became a household name after his 1999 breakthrough hit "Kokooko," which featured rapper Lord Kenya and bridged the gap between traditional highlife and the then-emerging hiplife genre.
