Dance Code – a Plot (Synopsis) The story begins with a famous dancer, Dramata reading an email from Kalizuku, a computer programmer whose recent experience of watching her dance made him realize that something is missing in the wholeness of his life. The letter shows a timid, modest, and unsecure character of the coder, who is afraid that famous prima-ballerina would likely ignore him, so he practically threatens her to schedule an online meeting to discuss what their so different disciplines, still step-based, could possibly have in common. Dramata, as a self-assured, successful, and a bit spoiled by fame person replies, understanding the weight of the unfulfilled emotions coming from a stranger. She ignores the heavy and incomprehensive character of the letter and agrees for an online meeting to be arranged at her convenience and whim. During their conversations, they compare the rules serving for guiding and restricting norms in their respective disciplines by unfolding them to each other. Timid, and insecure, self-aware Kalizuko almost becomes bossy to uncover a way of including arts into his wholistic being, while self-centered, secure, and rule-driven Dramata discovers that deep inside, she is interested in learning and discovering new ideas. The process of comparing and contrasting their two disciplines, respectively, is built to encourage the audience to explore the hidden natures behind the rules and to explore the codes provided on the website for their further perusal, before their applying the newly acquired skills to their own dancing.
