Daniel Kimbro – Bluegrass Session Ace, Interview/Performance
►In this video, we meet Daniel Kimbro, the GRAMMY-nominated bassist known for his work as a solo artist and as a member of the Jerry Douglas Band, The Earls of Leicester and the acclaimed Transatlantic Sessions. He has also performed and recorded with artists including Eric Johnson, John Hiatt, Sarah Jarosz, Eric Clapton, Loudon Wainwright, Aoife O'Donovan, Sierra Hull and more. Raised on the sounds of traditional American roots music, Daniel has a deep respect for the first generation of country and bluegrass bass players whose deep tones defined those classic recordings we all love. Coupled with a gift for storytelling, Daniel is a bass player known for his wonderful technique and expressive bass lines, but most of all, for serving the song. A huge thank you to Daniel Kimbro for taking time out of his busy touring schedule to join me in Leeds. I've been a fan for years, so it was an absolute pleasure to finally meet Daniel in person and hear him play!
