DARIUS 2 - ARCADE & CONSOLE (PAL) COMPARISON

To celebrate the recent triple-screen release of the MiSTer FPGA WIP beta core for Darius II, I decided to record the game’s intro sequence and compare it side-by-side with the PAL Sega Saturn version of Darius II. Despite a few shortcuts taken in the console port, it’s incredibly impressive how well the developers adapted the game into something far more playable than you’d expect on a standard 4:3 CRT TV, especially when compared against the original triple-wide CRT and mirror-based arcade cabinet setup.
