This is the newly created DASH 3d printer. It is an evolutionary step from my prior X-Drive printer.
Some new (to me) features and advances:
1. Ultra lightweight carriage and rail, Bowden filament drive
2. Reduced weight printbed and Z-Axis system
3. BLTouch for automatic Z-Axis zero set. No, I don't favor automatic bed leveling.
4. Easy adjust 3-point leadscrew/level for Z-Axis. No springs.
5. COREXY, two-level belt.
6. All custom parts are 3d printed (that's REP-RAP!).
The combination of the above has yielded a much quicker printer with greatly reduced ringing and artifacts. Also due to the lower mass of the moving parts the motors run VERY cool, barely warm to the touch.
I may eventually post this design to Thingiverse and/or Openbuilds.
