Data Science? Data Analytics? Data Engineering? All the data! If you're curious about the world of data, and how it can help empower the world to design, come along to Canva's lightning talk event on April 22nd and along with the steps to take to join the team. Jerome Han, Graduate Data Scientist Jerome interned at Canva in 2020/2021 after completing his undergraduate studies in psychology and computer science at the University of Melbourne. He's currently working at Canva as a machine learning engineer within the Search and Recommendations group, helping to build backend systems that enable intelligent, personalised content discovery by users. Nicholas Lambourne, Graduate Data Engineer Nick is a UQ computer science (and UQCS!) alumni who interned at Canva in 2019/2020. He recently returned as a graduate and now works on the Data Platform and Tools team, where he helps look after Canva's data lake and the notebooks service, which facilitates ML exploration by data scientists. Vincey Au, Data Analyst Vincey started as a Data Analyst at Canva in 2019, right after graduating from a double degree in Commerce & Computer Science from the University of Sydney. She currently sits in the Video group where she helps drive product growth and strategy through A/B experiments, forecasts and deep-dive analyses. Connect with UQCS!
